The most recognized and renowned institute of raigarh the- OP Jindal Institute of Technology (OPJIT), Raigarh is managed by  Jindal Education and Welfare Society. This Institute (OPJIT), Raigarh was established on 2008. The O.P. Jindal Institute of Technology has been established with the primary motive to "Impart quality education and train the youth to take up the future challenges of evolving INDIA". The Institute is a dream come true of its founder late Shri O. P. Jindal, an eminent industrialist, politician and great philanthropist. All the laboratories are well equipped as per AICTE/ CSVTU norms. The total available land that surrounds the college is 25 Acres. The total build-up area of the institute is 218830 sq. ft, which also includes instructional area, amenities and administrative areas. The workshop is well equipped with CNC machines along with the other machinery and equipments. The capacity of the boy’s hostel is more than 750 and that of Girls hostel is 200.
OPJIT is equipped with a pool of technical experts and highly skilled professors in various departments rich in experience. The Institute Library has rich collection of 25,000 books in addition to national & international journals & other document like journals, news papers, magazines, e-journals, e-books etc. The Computerized Library is the main resource center of the institute, providing a convenient environment for learning.
