Shri Krishan Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in 1997 under the aegis of Shri Krishan Educational TRUST, Kurukshetra with a mission of imparting QUALITY engineering Education in various disciplines of Engineering & Technology for the welfare of Technical and Social Community. The Institute is conveniently located in the holy land of Mahabharat, Kurukshetra on its self-sustained beautiful campus of 23 acres amidst lush green surroundings. The Institute since its inception has been growing in strength and importance with the years, and has become established as one of the premier engineering education institute of the country. The institute’s strategic plan, since its very establishment, has moved forward on the principle that an intellectually stimulating environment and a lively, engaging campus life will attract outstanding students and help them realize their fullest potential. With an aim to give students an extraordinary engineering experience, this principle has always influenced our academic, residential & co-curricular planning.

Our aim is to train the students, armed with the ability to work effectively and efficiently, across professional boundaries, so that they can emerge as leaders and innovators in their chosen professions. With this goal in view, the institute has been updating and modernizing its curricula to make the courses more industry- oriented. Simultaneously innovative teaching methods and aids have also been introduced, to improve the quality of education imparted.

The courses at SKP have been designed and tailored as a better response to the constantly evolving technological and social needs of the country in 21st century, considering all aspects of growth and modernization.

Placement

The placement cell under fine periphery of Mr. Sudhanshu Sharma (Head-Training & Placement), having industry exposure of over 12 years & holding Masters degree in Communication & Public Relations, is dedicated in advising students on career options and providing the latest information and arranging for summer training opportunity and employment vacancies. To contend with the current spirited market environment, the placement cell provides individual counseling, run seminars and group sessions concerning career choice, interview skills and group discussion skills, preparing resumes and drafting job applications. A unique team of Department of Training & Placement at SKIET, keeps a constant liaison with the various business and industrial establishments (both private and public sector), which conduct campus interviews for final placements. In addition to update career information and employment trends, the placement cell maintains a list of part time jobs and summer/vacation employment opportunities in order to encourage investigation comparison of the relationship between notional concept and organizational practice.
