FOUNDER SRI KASI VASI ARULNANDHI THAMBIRAN SWAMIGAL PATRON & PRESIDENT SRI KASI VASI MUTHUKUMARA THAMBIRAN SWAMIGAL OUR HISTORY Our college was established in the year 1961, named after the great Saint Kumara Guruparar Swamigal. Thiruvalarthiru Kasi Vasi Arulnandhi Thambiran, the then head of sri Kasi Mutt, Thirupanandal, founder of our college. The college is located at Padmanabamangalam, a small village near Srivaikuntam in Thoothukudi-district. Our college is governed by Sri Muthukumaraswamy Thambiran Swamigal, present head of Sri Kasi Mutt, Tirupanandal.OUR VISION Our motto is "Sitruyirkum Utra Thunai Kalvi". The founder's perspective vision is to provide exemplary service in imparting higher education to the poor, especially the rural, the downtrodden and the marginalized society and to preserve communal harmony with religious identity. We work for a good rapport among different communities and bring peace, harmony, intellectual and spritual experience amongst them.OUR MISSION The committed leadership of our college aims to give access to higher education to the entire population in and around this area irrespective of caste, creed and religion and to eradicate the gender bias and to uplift rural woman folk. We create awareness for the younger generation to emerge from darkness to light and to cease the narrow-minded and become broadminded.OUR EMBLEM We are very particular to inculcate education with discipline. The images of Veena and Peacock depicted in the College emblem symbolize the piety and the thirst for learning. The pictures of Lion and Nandhi [Bull] in the emblem emblazoned the courage acquired through learning.OUR ACHIEVEMENT Our college has completed five decades of exemplary service in imparting quality education to the students. We constantly move towards the founder's goal of self-realization and progress on the part of the people. Our education standard has helped employment to thousands of students in the fast advancing modern world of science. The dedication and the hard work of all the teaching and non-teaching staffs of the organization gear up the rural students to get higher education and face challenges successfully.OUR ADMINISTRATION The administration of the college is monitored by the Academic Council consisting of the Principal and the Heads of various Departments. It meets then and there to monitor the academic activities of the College. Student's grievances are discussed and suitable action is taken by the Council. Discipline Committees is constituted with the Principal as Convener to look into the matters related to student's discipline.OUR MANAGEMENT The College is managed by a Committee consisting of The Honorary Secretary, a Secretary and twelve members. The Committee proposes suggestions and guidelines for the smooth and effective functioning of the College. The Secretary acts in accordance with the decisions of the Management Committee. Important decisions relating to the development of infrastructure, recruitment of staff, etc. are made by the Secretary in concurrence with the committee. The Principal submits his administrative reports to the Committee and acts according to the advice of the Secretary.
