Atomic Energy Central School is one of the several schools which are running successfully for the children of employees of Department of Atomic Energy(DAE) and are managed by the Atomic Energy Education Society(AEES), Mumbai, India. There are 16 such schools in different locations of throughout the country. One of this series of school is in Anushakti Nagar, Mumbai. The very school of this chain was opened in 1969 in Mumbai. Now in present, there are 6 branches of this school only in Mumbai with a total strength of around 6500 students and a huge staff of around 400 teachers. And now every branch of this school have well experienced and qualified team of teaching staff, large playground, Laboratories and modern infrastructure.
These schools are affiliated to CBSE for the pre-primary to class 10th standard and for class 11 and class 12, it is affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board. The schools are started with motive to make their employees feel better by providing their children best education. Some of these schools are managed by the government of India while others are the privately managed.

Admissions in these schools are provided to the children of the employees of DAE. The DAE candidates can get the admission forms from the administration office and need to fill the form correctly and then they have to submit the duly filled form in the school office.
Whereas Admissions of Non-DAE Employees are also considered if there are seats left vacant. A test is conducted for such candidates which need to be qualified for seeking admission. These admissions are under full control of the authorities as the chairman and other higher officials can make referrals for the admissions.
