Introduction:  

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bargarh, a co-educational CBSE affiliated (CBSE affiliation no: 1500030) institution, run by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanagthan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Human Resource Development was established in Bargarh in 1996. Since then it has been achieving laurels in myriad fields- be it academic or extracurricular. The school has successfully carved a niche for itself in the city of Bargarh. Parents vie for admission of their wards in the Vidyalaya which we, the Vidyalaya Family, believe is success in the truest sense of the term. The Vidyalaya has been achieving excellent CBSE results since the inception of class X in our school. The school has classes from I to XII (Science).

    Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bargarh firmly believes that a true education implies all-round development of a child and so besides academic excellence stress is laid on many co-curricular activities- such as games and sports, scout and guide, drawing and painting to name a few to stimulate the latent talents of the budding citizens of India. The organization primarily aims at physical, mental and spiritual development of every child. It also envisages to flourish as a pace setting educational institution by imparting updated quality education and inculcating the feeling of oneness and Indianness among our students.

Genesis of the KV:
            Seeds are sown with an intension of getting shade and fruits. In line with such motive the academic seed was sown in the suburban of Bargarh in the form of Kendriya Vidyalaya in 1996. It was the undaunted determination of   Mr.  A B Sarkar whose effort today is giving fruits and shade to the people Bargarh district. Though few schools did exist but for quality education the population looks towards our establishment.

            It started in a hutment near Goru Bazar. In the year 1996 it was started in a rented campus at RMC Goru Market Campus given RMC. In 2006 the school shifted to the permanent building. Since then computer lab, playground and other infrastructure is rapidly being added at present there are 90 of staff quarters occupied by staff members. 12 quarters are in process being completed.
