Background:
The Rajkumar College was originally founded at Jabalpu in 1882 and later on shifted to Raipur in 1894 as a Chief's College with the intention of educating the sons of Rulers and Zamindars and their relatives. In 1939, admission was thrown open to boys without distinction of class, caste or creed.
