Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University eas founded in 1985 is one of the finest language universities in country.The university was founded with the objective of serving telugu people within the state and outside.So in order to meet this objective the university has merged sahitya,Sangeetha, Nataka, Nritya and Lalitha Kala Academies.Thus the university was established to make it as a central place for teaching,research in language,literature,history,culture,fine arts etc of the telugu people and such for promoting it the university runs various programmes.The university has five i.e. Hyderabad, Rajahmundry, Sri Sailam, Warangal and Kuchipudi campuses .The University has recently acquired 100 acres of land for the construction of new campus at Bachupally in Hyderabad. Construction work has been initiated.
