Welingkar Institute of Management is an autonomous institute that also offers distance learning programs. It is accredited by Distance Education Council (DEC), a body of the Central Govt. of India, under the IGNOU Act for assessment and accreditation of distance education institutes in India. The school takes the approach of “design thinking” for its management education course across its institute and distance learning programs.


Welingkar’s Distance Learning Program (DLP) is appraised by DEC with regard to its content, quality of education and its delivery systems. Hence, DEC approval ensures students not just quality of education but also assures them of the standard of qualification which they earn from Welingkar's DLP.
