Alagappa University invites applications for admission to the following programmes offered through distance mode for the academic year 2011 2012

Semester Programmes MBA: General, Banking and Finance, Corporate Secretaryship, Education Management, Hospital Management, Human Resource Management, International Business, Investment Management, Project Management, Tourism), MCA, PGDCA

Integrated programmes: Five years MBA

Non-semester UG programmes (3 years): B.Litt (Tamil), B.A. (English, History, Public Administration), B.Sc (Psychology, Mathematics), BCA, B.Sc (Computer Science, Information Technology), BBA, BBA (Corporate Secretaryship, Banking), B.Com, B.Com (Computer Applications), BLISc (one year), One year additional degree in English

Non-semester PG programmes (2 years): M.Com, M.Com (Finance and Control), M.Sc (Botany with specialization in Plant Bio-Technology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics), M.A. (Child Care and Education, Education, English, History, Mass Communication and Journalism, Personnel Management and Industrial Relations, Tamil), MLISc (one year)

Post-graduate diploma programmes (1 year): Personnel Management and Industrial Relations, Business Management, Hospital Administration, Sports Management, Human Resource Management, Library Automation and Networking, Electroplating, Information Technology Management, Instrumental Methods of Analysis

Diploma programme (1 year): Company Secretary Ship

Certificate programmes (6 months): Self Help Group Management (Tamil medium only), Library Information Science (English/Tamil medium), CLISc

Lateral entry programmes to II year in respect of the UG programmes: B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Com (Computer Application), B.Sc (Computer Science, Information Technology), BBA (Corporate Secretaryship), BBA (Banking)

PG Programmes: MCA, M.A. (PM&IR)

New Programmes (subject to the approval of DEC, New Delhi): MSW (Master of Social Work)-semester programme, M.Sc (Zoology)-non semester programmes, M.A. (Sociology)-non semester programmes, Five year Integrated M.Sc (Software Engineering)-non semester programmes, PG Diploma in Yoga Education-non semester programmes

MBA e-learning: MBA (General, Human Resource Management)-semester 2 years

B.A. (History, B.Com, BBA, MBA, M.A. (History), M.Com, CLIS/Integrated MBA are offered both in English and Tamil medium. Other courses are offered in English medium only

MBAs/MSW/MCA/PGDCA are offered under semester pattern and other courses under non-semester pattern

Course fee concession is provided to the physically handicapped candidates

Cost of application and prospectus, all MBAs/MCA/PGDCA/M.Sc (Computer Science)/Chemistry/ Physics/Botany/Zoology/M.Sc (IT)/MSW/Integrated MBA/M.Sc (SE), courses Rs 300/-; all others courses Rs 100/-

Application and prospectus can be obtained from the director, directorate of distance education, Alagappa university, on payment of prescribed fee by means of demand draft in favour of the director, DDE, Alagappa university payable at Karaikudi or in the case of learning centres, please refer website www.alagappauniversity.ac.in or in case of downloading the application through university website www.alagappauniversity.ac.in, the candidates have to remit the cost of application along with filled-in application to the directorate

Application and Prospectus can be obtained from The Director, Directorate of Distance Education, Alagappa University, Karaikudi - 630 003, Tamilnadu, on payment of prescribed fee by means of Demand Draft drawn in favour of "The Director, DDE, Alagappa University" payable at Karaikudi OR the approved Study Centres (refer website www.alagappauniversity.ac.in ) OR
In case of downloading the application through University website www.alagappauniversity.ac.in, the candidates have to remit the cost of application alongwith filled-in application to the Directorate of Distance Education, Alagappa University.
