Biochemisty is the study that gives deep knowledge about the work functions and internal structure,chemical properties of enzymes, proteins, vitamins,carbohydrates, fats, and other numerous processes related to metabolism and biochemical changes of the mankind by controlling the signal and flow of chemical energy.
Other domains of biochemistry deals with the genetic code (DNA, RNA), protein synthesis, cell membrane transport and signal transduction.A Biochemist analyzes the chemical combinations and reactions which take place in biological processes like the process of growth, metabolism, reproduction, heredity etc.
It is the subject that gives the detail knowledge about the chemical changes ang chemical properties related with the biological structure and metabolism of living organisms.

The Department of Agriculture, the National Institutes of Health, and the Environmental Protection Agency are some of the government agencies that employ biochemists and offeres a comparatively high pay package than the private sectors.They can earn a minimum salary starting from 15,000/- and ranging upto 50,000/- and above depending on the skill and experence.
In private sector, Biochemist can earn a starting salary of about 15,000-20,000 / - rupees per month.
Several MNC also gives a high pay scale depending on th experience.
Both private and public sector offer employment for biochemists.Nowadays biochemists are engaged in several areas such as in environment, health and agriculture.

BASIC ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION IN VARIOUS BACHELOR AND POST GRADUATE COURSES
UG:
Students who have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Science (Biology, Chemistry, Maths) of any recognized board having minimum 55%-60% in total are eligible for this course. The duration for this is 3 years.
PG:
Students who have completed bachelor's degree with Science (Biology, Chemistry, Maths) of any recognized university securing minimum 50-55 % marks in aggregate are eligible for this course. The duration for this is 2 years.
Besides,the admission procedure depends on the university and board itself.Some conduct admission tests and depending on this eligibility criteria is fixed.
