Bioinformatics

 

Bioinformatics is a division of science which is concerned with the use of information technology in the area of molecular biology. It includes the purpose of computer technology to manage and study the biological data. Computers are used for collecting, analyzing, storing and merging the biological data. The purpose of bioinformatics is to collect the material goods of biological information and use it for the development of living standards of human beings. There are several areas where bioinformatics is applied such as agriculture, human health, biotechnology, environment and energy to progress the biomedical research and development. It is applied in the area of molecular medicine to make the customized medicines for the prevention or cure of the disease.

Basic Eligibility

UG:

 

For admission in to bachelor’s degree, the candidate must have passed the higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination with science subject such as (biology, maths and chemistry).  The duration for this course is 3 years.

 


PG:
