Asian Peacebuilders Scholarship for Master’s Student's

The Nippon Foundation is funding thirty Asian Peacebuilders Scholarships (APS) which offer specialized language training for candidates with intermediate and advanced levels of English proficiency and includes MA Coursework in an area related to peace building (11 specialization available), MA Coursework with an Asian perspective and the design and implementation of an 8-week intensive field project. The scholarship covers all tuition fee, the language-training modules, academic material, air travel, living expenses and basic insurance during the period of study. English language proficiency is required. Online applications should be sent by 8th September 2013.

Course : This scholarship is for pursuing master’s degree in Philippines and Costa Rica.
Scholarship Provider: The Nippon Foundation, the UN Mandated University for Peace (UPEACE), and Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU)
Scholarship can be taken at: Philippines and Costa Rica 
Eligibility: Applications are accepted from students all over Asia, with preferences given to students who:
1. Have at least 2 years work experience in a relevant field;
2. Have Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution;
3. Demonstrate a compelling desire to work on issues related to peace and conflict;
4. Demonstrate a commitment to learning in an international and multi-cultural environment.
5. Are from countries where English is not widely spoken, particularly Laos, Japan,  Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, Sri Lanka,Cambodia,  and the Philippines.
Scholarships Open for Student of Following Countries: Students all over Asia: Afghanistan, Bahrain , Bangladesh ,Bhutan ,Brunei, Cambodia, China, East Timor, India Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Japan Jordan, Kazakhstan, Korea North, Korea South, Kuwait Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, Oman Pakistan, The Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Syria, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Yemen can apply for this scholarship (but preference will be given to those countries where English is not widely spoken, particularly: Laos, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, Cambodia, Sri Lanka and the Philippines).
Number of award: Thirty admitted applicants will be granted a full scholarship, provided by the Nippon Foundation.
Duration of awards(s): This 18 – 21 months (depending on English proficiency) intensive academic programme begins in March 2013.
What does it cover: This includes all tuition fee, the language-training module, academic materials, air travel, living expenses and basic insurance during the period of studies.
