aINTERNET IS FOR ALL HENCE SHOULD BE OPEN AND FREE-TRAI ON NET NEUTRALITY

Well according to TRAI-Telecom Regulatory Authority of India  use of internet should be such that it ensures free speech rights of netizens by ensuring diversity of views.opinions and ideas. Thus TRAI has recommended to keep the internet open and forbid any internet provider to block or throttle  any website or app or web services. Though this recommendation by TRAI followed a consultation also that lasted almost for a year after the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) seeked  TRAI’s views on the issue with an aim to “finalise a viewpoint” on net neutrality.

TRAI chairman R S Sharma says “No one owns the Internet, so it should be open and accessible to everyone. Service providers have the right  of becoming gatekeepers of the Internet but they should not engross  in doing so with this important platform. He also added that big things are happening on internet hence it should be open for all.

TRAI also recommended that “specialised services” and content delivery networks be excluded from the scope of “any rules on net neutrality”.TRAI also suggested allowing telecom and Internet service providers to deploy “reasonable” traffic management practices from time to time, on the basis that such interventions are “proportionate, and transparent in nature”.

Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) Director General Rajan Mathews said the suggestion to form a committee to review nd decide on network management violations is “unnecessarily bureaucratic”, and not in keeping with “light touch regulation or the ease of doing business”.

A bright young man who topped jee in first attempt and was offered lucrative salary package but could you imagine someone rejecting it and instead choosing defence for his country. Very rare but Shivang joshi has made this into reality. This 17 yr old JEE topper has accepted the challenging role to serve the country in army.

Shivansh hails from Ramnagar in Uttarakhand whereas his father Sanjeev Joshi works with LIC India while mother Tanuja Joshi is a government primary school teacher. He had topped the NDA exam and  decided to quit the engineering course at NIT Tiruchirappalli and join the Indian Army. The results of the NDA exam were released last week.

Shivansh scored 96.8 per cent in class 12 exams and cracked the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) in his very  first attempt. But as he felt that   joining defence forces is the best way you can serve your nation . On his   father’s insistence Joshi appeared for JEE and topped it without joining any coaching centre. He was preparing for his board exams, JEE and NDA all together.

To maintain his concentration he stayed away from social media and smartphones .Though he doesn't belong to a defence background but real life heroes on border inspired him.
